Police looking for pickup driver after hit-and-run accident

Here are the highlights from the St. Louis Police Department’s complaint log from Feb. 19 to 25. Thanks to Police Chief Richard J. Ramereiz Jr. for the following information.

Traffic Accident One

On Monday, Feb. 25, A 56-year-old Grand Blanc resident was attempting to stop for a traffic signal at Main and M-46 when he or she was rear-ended by an unknown driver causing the Grand Blanc resident to rear-end a vehicle in front (driven by a 32-year-old Merrill resident).  The unknown driver fled the scene before he or she could be identified. The unknown vehicle was described as a black Ford (F-250 or F-350) extended cab or crew cab pickup. Anyone with information that can identify the driver of the unknown pickup is asked to contact Officer Matt VanHall of the St. Louis Police Department at 989-681-5285 or by email at mvanhall@stlouismi.com.

Traffic Accident Two

A 42-year-old Alma resident backed into another vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Elsie resident on Tuesday, Feb. 19.   

Traffic Accident Three

A 45-year-old St. Louis resident backed into a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old St. Louis resident on Wednesday, Feb. 20. 

Police Car versus Deer

St. Louis police handled the report on Thursday, Feb. 21, when an Alma police car struck a deer at Grafton and Ely.

Suspended License

A 26-year-old Breckenridge resident was arrested for driving on a suspended license on Saturday, Feb. 23, after being stopped for an equipment violation at M-46 and East Street.
