Drunk driving crash
An 18-year-old Chesaning resident was arrested for drunk driving at 4:46 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, after crashing into two parked vehicles at the Oakridge apartment complex off Euclid Street.
Vulnerable adult abuse (1242)
Police received a call on Tuesday, Oct. 29, regarding abuse of a vulnerable adult. The complaint was been turned over to Adult Protective Services.
Drug recognition evaluation
Officer Ryan Balhke assisted the Gratiot County Sheriff’s Department with a drug recognition evaluation on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the hospital in Alma. Bahlke is one of two official Drug Recognition Experts in Gratiot County. (Alma Police Sgt. Drury is the other one.)
As a DRE, Bahlke will assist St. Louis police officers and other law enforcement officers in Gratiot County to determine if a subject is impaired by drugs. Click here for more information.
A 45-year-old St. Louis resident in the 400 block of West State reported the attempted break-in of an outdoor storage structure on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
A 52-year-old St. Louis resident was arrested on multiple warrants during the investigation of an unrelated complaint on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
Two juveniles were bitten by dogs that were running at large during the afternoon of Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the corner of Maple and Chestnut. The persons responsible for the dogs was ticketed. The complaint was turned over to Gratiot County Animal Control.
A 29-year-old St. Louis resident in the 200 block of West Center reported on Thursday, Oct. 31, that the tires of his or her vehicle were slashed. This complaint is under investigation.
A 53-year-old St. Louis resident struck another vehicle while backing out of a parking space around 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, on North Mill near M-46.
A 44-year-old St. Louis resident reported the unauthorized use of a business trash bin on Friday, Nov. 1. The complaint is under investigation.
A 26-year-old St. Louis resident was arrested on an outstanding warrant from another agency in the 100 block of West Tyrell on Friday, Nov. 1.
