Church carport damaged

Police visited a single home in the 200 block of South Delaware at 10:05 p.m. Thursday, July 1, and at 1:22 a.m. and 1:48 a.m. Friday, July 2, for a verbal dispute.
Parking accident downtown
A 38-year-old St. Louis resident was backing out of a parking space in the 100 block of North Mill on Friday, July 2, and struck the adjacent parked vehicle. Minor damage and no injuries were reported.
A fight on Giddings Place
Police responded to reports of a fight between a 45-year-old St. Louis resident and a 52-year-old St. Louis resident in the 200 block of Giddings Place at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, July 3. The fight was over by the time officers arrived but both parties admitted they had an altercation. Neither wanted to pursue a complaint. Both refused medical treatment.
A 38-year-old Alma resident rear-ended a vehicle driven by an 81-year-old St. Louis resident who was stopped for traffic at the corner of Mill and Saginaw on Saturday, July 3. Minor damage and no injuries were reported.
A 46-year-old St. Louis resident in the 500 block of Berea reported a slashed tire on his or her vehicle on Monday, July 5.
Red light runner
A 54-year-old McBride resident ran a red light and was hit by 65-year-old Kawkawlin resident at the corner of M46 and Mill on Wednesday, July 7. No injuries were reported.
A juvenile was assaulted by other juveniles around 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, at an undisclosed location in town. The matter has been turned over to the prosecutor for criminal charges.
A 62-year-old Breckenridge resident was cited for driving with a suspended license after being stopped for a moving violation in the 100 block of East Washington (M46) on Wednesday, July 7.
A 64-year-old St. Louis Evergreen Village trailer park resident reported the theft of a 26-inch Mongoose mountain bike that is silver in color with black lettering with red outlines on Saturday, July 10. The bike was left outdoors unsecured.
Possession of controlled substance
A Montcalm County resident was arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 100 block of West Washington (M46) on Sunday, July 11, after being reported as a suspicious person.
A 41-year-old St. Johns resident was southbound on South Main at State Street when he or she struck a deer that had run out in front of his or her vehicle at 6:20 a.m. Sunday, July 11.
