Open house for outgoing Mayor Jim Kelly attracts two dozen well wishers

With one meeting to go (next Tuesday) before he’s officially a former mayor, Jim Kelly was feted by two dozen citizens at an open house in city hall on Thursday, Dec. 16.

Attendees included school board member Don Kelley, Fire Chief Bill Coty, DDA Director Phil Hansen, Police Chief Richard J. Ramereiz Jr, Police Sgt. Kristee Forshee, Police Clerk Amy Velazco, Library Director Jessica Little, State Rep. Pat Outman, former State Sen. Judy Emmons, County Commissioner George Bailey, Councilman George Kubin, Councilman Roger Collison, Councilman and Mayor to be Tom Reed, City Manager Kurt Giles, Public Services Director Keith Risdon, business owner Ferris Azzam, two men from the water department and several more whom this reporter didn’t recognize.

Kelly’s last meeting as mayor begins 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21.
