Here are the highlights from the St. Louis Police Department’s complaint log for July 26-29. Thanks to Police Chief Richard J. Ramereiz Jr. for the following information.
Possession of stolen property
A 41-year-old Oakridge resident got off easy on Tuesday, July 26, after police determined he or she had possession of a cell phone and keys that were reported stolen by a Lansing resident. The phone’s owner told police that the phone was tracked to the 400 Block of Oakridge Drive. Police made contact with the aforementioned Oakridge resident who “eventually admitted to having the cell phone and turned it over.” The complainant didn’t press charges, and the case was closed.
Police arrested a 35-year-old St Louis resident for drunk driving at 2:15 a.m. Friday, July 29, after pulling him or her over for a defective headlight. A search of the vehicle found open alcohol containers and a fixed-blade knife. The complaint was turned over to Gratiot County Prosecutor Keith Kushion.
