The Middle of the Mitten Association and Spirit of St. Louis Committee are seeking nominations for the Person of the Year Award for 2022, a.k.a. the Spirit of St. Louis Award.
Any St. Louis area resident can be nominated. Criteria for selection is based on exemplary personal behavior, success in one’s own profession, community participation, leadership and inspirational qualities. This award has been given annually for over 50 years. Last year’s recipient was Linda Bader of the Farmer’s Market.
Nomination applications can picked up at St. Louis City Hall or requested by emailing Downtown Development Authority Director Phil Hansen (phansen@stlouismi.com). Nomination forms must be received by 4 p.m. Friday, March 17.
The award presentation will be part of the Gratiot Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual dinner at the Youth for Christ building (550 Cheesman Road in Pine River Township) on Thursday, May 4. Nominations must be submitted in writing. The winner is selected by a committee of past recipients.
