Here are the highlights from the St. Louis Police Department’s complaint log for April 13 to May 4. Thanks to Police Clerk Amy Velazco for the following information.
Sex crime (337)
A criminal sexual conduct complaint in the 100 block of South Pine was reported at 4:18 p.m. Thursday, April 13, and is under investigation.
Sex crime (364)
A criminal sexual conduct complaint was reported at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, and is under investigation.
Warrant arrest
Police hit the daily double at 1:21 p.m. Thursday, April 20, after pulling over a vehicle. The 23-year-old driver was not only speeding but doing it without a driver’s license. The passenger, a 23-year-old Saginaw resident, was found to have a warrant out of Saginaw County. He was arrested and turned over to the Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department.
Warrant arrest
Police arrested a 41-year-old Weidman resident on Woodside Drive (off State Road near the industrial park) at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, after a background check showed a misdemeanor warrant for the person’s arrest. The person was lodged at the Gratiot County Jail.
Warrant arrest
Police arrested a 28-year-old St. Louis resident at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, who was wanted by the Gratiot County District Court. The subject was lodged at the Gratiot County Jail.
Clapp Park vandalism
Police were notified at 8:45 a.m. Friday, April 28, that the window on the south side of a building in the park had eight glass blocks damaged. Furthermore, the metal rollup door on the east side of the building had dents in it. The complaint is under investigation.
Suspended license
A 20-year-old Saginaw resident made his or her situation worse at 10:18 p.m. Saturday, April 29, when an officer attempted to stop his or her car for speeding. “The suspect vehicle pulled away at a high rate of speed,” Velasco said. “A short distance later, the driver pulled into a driveway where officers contacted the vehicle.” The driver was found to have a suspended license. He or she was arrested and jailed for the suspended license and also for fleeing and eluding.
Broken window
A resident in the 100 Block of East Crawford Street told police at 11:26 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, that someone broke a window and door panel at his or her home.
Domestic assault (428)
Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South East Street at 5:47 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, for a domestic assault. Criminal charges were authorized by the prosecutor, and the suspect was jailed.
Larceny
A resident in the 300 Block of North Delaware Street reported at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 4, that golf clubs, golf balls, golf shoes and golf tees were stolen from the his or her residence.
